Three Simple Ways to Improve Ovulation Naturally

What your symptoms are telling you about your ovulatory health

I was what I thought was the pinnacle of health. I was skinny and fit. I had a 6 pack. I was an athlete. I ate “healthy” foods.

How could I lose a baby?

Turns out there’s a lot more to health than being skinny.

Because on the outside I was fit. But on the inside I had:

Painful, anovulatory cycles

Cystic acne

Miscarriage

Severe food allergies

Hair falling out

PMS

And in all my years of searching for a solution, something that I was NEVER taught was about the importance of ovulation. Ovulation is the Crux of your cycle.

Everything in the female cycle centers around when and if you ovulate. That includes the length of your luteal or follicular phase. The length of your period. Whether or not these phases come with any negative symptoms. Everything depends on it.

I always thought it was your period. In fact, I had no idea anything else was really happening during the month other than the uterine lining thickening and shedding. That was my extent of knowledge on the female cycle until I was 23 years old.

After we lost our first baby, I dove head first into figuring out what the heck was going on in my body. I never put together all of the symptoms I was having. I thought they were just a normal part of life – turns out I was wrong.

I found out that ovulation is the mechanism by which you create one of your most important and protective hormones: progesterone

Progesterone not only determines your ability to get and stay pregnant, but it protects you against things like:

Osteoporosis

Breast Cancer

Arthritis

Depression & Anxiety

Asthma

Glaucoma

Premature aging

 & MORE

So what are some ways you can improve ovulation? Since it really is one of the most important parts of your cycle…

  1. Increase mineral intake

Focus on foods that are rich in vitamins and minerals like: animal products (including raw dairy and organ meats), fresh ripe fruit, and wild caught seafood. Start slowly with REAL food!

  2. Balance blood sugar

Eat minimum 3 meals a day with a protein, fat, and carb at every meal. And NEVER skip breakfast! The best way to set your blood sugar balance is to eat breakfast within 30 minutes of waking.

  3. Try hormone support oils

These are a simple and foolproof way to begin supporting your hormones at home. They are where I started and one of the easiest additions to your routine. All the benefits without the stress! If you want to get started with the hormone support oils, you can follow this link!

Bonus if you get morning and evening sun on your eyes and unfiltered sun exposure during the day!! These are just some really simple ways you can begin improving your ovulation.
